By Pastor Joaquin Molina
After 15 years of seeking the will of God for my life I finally received an answer from the Lord. On the night of April 6, 1998, while I was with my wife Yvette, I heard the voice of the Lord tell me “get up, arise and go for I am with you.”
For years I desired to serve the Lord and do His perfect will. I participated in many Christian events and had relationships with many Christian ministers, pastors, and other believers as I waited peacefully for the direction the Lord would have over my life and ministry. I waited peacefully because I did not want to run ahead of God.
I had begun serving the Lord at the age of 25 as a youth group leader of about 15 young members in the church where I was assisting. Seeing that many of the young people came to their Christian life without fervor, without passion, and that they were discouraged, I began to ask the Holy Spirit for direction to help them come along. In a short time the group began to grow and get encouraged and have an impact in the City of Miami. Christian Youth Ministry (as it was called) grew to have over 150 young people that were renewed and transformed in their faith in Jesus Christ.
Filled with the passion for my Lord, I continued to take the message of peace and joy and righteousness too many in this community. The group grew with this fervor to serve Christ and to proclaim His Good News, which in turn caused entire families to come, bringing many people to know the truth about the Lord and to be reconciled with God.
Some weeks after that calling of the night of April 6, 1998, we began a work called Spring of Life Fellowship with a vision for the last days to be part of what I think is going to be the most incredible move of God for this generation in the last times.
Joel 2:28-29 warns us: “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.”
Because of this outpouring of His Spirit, a people will arise to do the will of God without any more excuses. For a long time, God has desired to use His children according to His eternal plan, that each child of God will grow and mature to the measure and stature of perfect men like Jesus Christ, and like Him we get to a place where we say “not my will but thine be done.”
And much like two great men King David and Moses, both of whom told God he wants to do that which God have predetermined for our lives in the heavens.
The apostle Paul also was able to figure out the need to follow the Lord to move forward, saying in Philippians 3:12-14, “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
These men were each convinced that God had chosen a perfect plan for their lives. The Bible tells us that the time would come when God would tell each one of His children “arise and move forward”. This is clearly seen in the life of Abraham in Genesis 12: 1-4, “The LORD had said to Abram, “Leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” So Abram left, as the LORD had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Haran.”
This is the same calling for all those that will form to take part in the body of Christ. It is a calling of faith in God and in His purposes. Only in this manner are we going to be sure and confident, with a confidence that is not based on leaning on men or anything with an earthly guarantee. Knowing that God was faithful with Abraham who did not know where he was going, God also will be faithful with us to give us the Promised Land as our inheritance. God is faithful to do much more abundantly than what we ask or want.
In this vision God showed me a great nation that will be formed by people that are tired of playing “religion,” people that are tired of building things with hay and straw, which is blown away and destroyed by every tempest and storm that passes by. There will be people of every tribe, nation, and tongue that will offer up their hearts to do the will of God. They will be a people that are not lukewarm. They won’t be indifferent about God. They won’t conform to just being called Christians that are not going to Hell. These people will be ready to fight the battle and to win this battle of faith, always doing the will of God in their lives. The Lord also showed me that this great people will rise and walk in His perfect will without other commitments or compromises, without other interests or personal gain, nor will their confidence be in establishing human ties, like we see in the world. Just like we see the wicked boast in his life of wickedness, these people will boast in the fact that they are children of God redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus. The will walk in righteousness and in truth. These people will not be embarrassed to call themselves the bride of Christ. We will represent our Lord honoring Him with all our heart here on earth before all men.
These will be a people that will be transparent. They will be open books to be read by all people, open letters to the world in which there is nothing written to bring shame to them or their God. These people will subject and submit to all of the word of God without twisting it. They will depend on the grace of God and the direction of His Holy Spirit to come to the place of truth. Not only will they have an outward appearance of being holy and godly, and they will not deny the power of godliness. They will be grateful for the salvation that God has given them through the Son, and because of this gratefulness they willingly dedicate their lives to serving the Lord always being obedient to the Master. Always being overcomers, they will go in the direction to serve God with excellence give Him the best of their time, their talents, gifts, and graces. This will be a people that will call out “Come Lord Jesus.” The Bible tells of these people in the prophesies of Joel 2:1-11:
“Blow the trumpet in Zion,
And sound an alarm in My holy mountain!
Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble;
For the day of the LORD is coming,
For it is at hand:
A day of darkness and gloominess,
A day of clouds and thick darkness,
Like the morning clouds spread over the mountains.
A people come, great and strong,
The like of whom has never been;
Nor will there ever be any such after them,
Even for many successive generations.
A fire devours before them,
And behind them a flame burns;
The land is like the Garden of Eden before them,
And behind them a desolate wilderness;
Surely nothing shall escape them.
Their appearance is like the appearance of horses;
And like swift steeds, so they run.
With a noise like chariots
Over mountaintops they leap,
Like the noise of a flaming fire that devours the stubble,
Like a strong people set in battle array.
Before them the people writhe in pain;
All faces are drained of color.
They run like mighty men,
They climb the wall like men of war;
Every one marches in formation,
And they do not break ranks.
They do not push one another;
Every one marches in his own column.
Though they lunge between the weapons,
They are not cut down.
They run to and fro in the city,
They run on the wall;
They climb into the houses,
They enter at the windows like a thief.
The earth quakes before them,
The heavens tremble;
The sun and moon grow dark,
And the stars diminish their brightness.
The LORD gives voice before His army,
For His camp is very great;
For strong is the One who executes His word.
For the day of the LORD is great and very terrible;
Who can endure it?”
These people will be able to do everything that God tells them to do because their confidence will not be in their own ability or intelligence. God will lift them up to confound the wise of this world. This will be an army that will be equipped with the power of God’s Holy Spirit. Just like David when he was going before the giant without any natural armor, they will not confide in the armor of their power or intellect. These people will go out to battle trusting only in God’s power and in His word under the anointing of His Spirit that will be operating through their lives.
Like Jesus, our High Priest according to the order of Melquisedec (Hebrews 7:17), we know that this new movement of God’s people will be according to anointing and not to diplomas, to the fruits of righteousness and not deception that each will have a testimony and not a fairytale. They will have a life and not a religion.
We know that the purposes of God and His grace to reach that purpose are higher than ours. We at Spring of Life Fellowship desire to see what God is going to do as these people are prepared to totally surrender at His feet to do His will without any human models, without being limited by past accomplishments.
A Son has been born to sit upon the throne of God to rule the nations, to be taken up to the throne of God. We know that the last move of God upon the earth will be a great harvest and it has begun. The coming of the Lord is near and he is coming to seek His people.
Daniel 12:10, “Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.” He who is clean, continue to become sanctified and he who wants to continue to engage in religious rhetoric and games, keep on doing your own will.
Proverbs 14: 27, “The fear of the LORD is a spring of life, turning a man from the snares of death”.
